I have a '93 Grand Wagoneer

When I bought it, you had to unlock the doors a certain way or the burglar alarm would start going off.

I fixed it to where it doesn't happen with the doors, but now every once in a while when you turn the brights on or off the horn will go off.

And recently when I open the back hatch it started going off.

Anyone know what I could do to fix it other than just taking the horn out?

 

It does sound like your Security system.

What did you do to attempt to stop this by opening the doors? Theres a procedure out there of jumping a wire in the kickpanel... and not everyone has had success or is happy with the outcome from what i'v read.

The Security system has sensors on the hood, doors and hatch. Maybe try the jumper method on these sensors in addition to the doors?

I'v only read a little on this so i could be way off here...

 

All I did when it quit with the doors was jiggle a wire. haha But thanks I'll try that
