I've been looking at four wheelers for some time and have come down to two options.
1. Grizzly 660-700
2. Polaris 700-800
Neither one will be bought new if i get them, I just dont have that kind of money. i know what im doing buying used things and know if someone is lying to me so that is no problem. The only problem i have is which will be the more dependable machine? I dont plan on taking it swimming most would be some mud (not like 3 foot deep like some do, just small mud holes at the most). I just dont want to get something that I'll have to work on all the time, cause thats the problem with what i have now lol.

either one i get will be treated nice, Dont really NEED it until deer season so i can wait till i find a good deal. Im kinda leanin towards the grizzly mostly because it just looks beastly but then again the polaris seems to be built like a tank.

Ive been out of the 4 wheeler scene for a while since ive had my XJ. I had a Honda foreman 400 i think it was. Man I cant beleive that they are coming with that much power now. What in the world. my 400 had plenty of pep. I have owned two croch rockets both 600cc and one of them would run 176mph on the dot. Why in the world do 4 wheelers need that much power. They must fly. Crazy!

The Answer is Suzuki.
I've owned a few of their bikes and have never had a problem, and I put a lot of stress on my bikes.

I've had nothing but Polaris's. The friends my boys and I go riding with also have Polaris's. They have treated us well and very dependable. Even my oldest son's 2001 500. He uses it like a farm tractor. The boys are always skidding logs out of the woods, moving heavy trailers of dirt or stone, etc.

i would say grizzly from your picks, but honda is really the most reliable over all. they just never die. my friend (you gotta know he's 18) had a honda foreman 450 and beat the crap out of it like it was a sport quad ( cause he had to keep up with me) and the thing still live to this day, NO PROBLEMS

reason its between the grizzly and the polaris is that i've always loved the grizzlys, and my friend had a polaris and the thing literally wouldnt die. No joke it was rolled 3 times, centered into a tree twice, sunk in a lake (cleaned out after of course), and jumped more times than i can count. Even killed the whole electric start and it still cranked on 1-2 pulls on the pullstart.

I like both options you've suggested, however I've only had personal experience with the Polaris Sportsman 500. It was a really nice machine, and was very easy to ride. My best friends brother has MS bad enough to where he can't even walk anymore, and he was having a blast on it.
I've had some experience with Yamaha sport quads, Warriers, Blasters, Raptors, but since those really aren't utility quads its hard to compare. I will say that I liked Yamaha's sport quads more than the Polaris sport quads, same buddie who had the Sportsman 5 had some selectable AWD 400s that were pretty fun to play with.

i have had 2 yammies, 1 honda, and 1 suzuki. i prefer the Suzuki (King Quad 700) out of any of them. my old man has a Grizz 700 and they are pretty evenly matched, i just liked the power response of the KQ. i have riding buddies with Polarass's. they weigh a good 150 more pounds than any of the japanese brands of the same class. thats pretty much like having an extra rider with you, not fun. the new polarass's have decent powertrains, but the older ones (early 2000's) dont at all.
