I have a 1989 ninja 750R and I just cleaned the carbs, changed the oil and oil filter, added a new inline fuel filter(just replaced the old one) and after I got everything put back together and had a little difficulty getting it started but once it got going with choke the idle started to run up to 6000-7000 rpm before i stopped it. went for a ride to see i it would clear up but it still remains. please watch the video and let me know what you think.

 

Sounds like an air leak. Check your carb boots to make sure they're not cracked and seated properly.
