Hey all. I have this Jimmy sitting in my parking lot here at my aprtments and it looks really lonely. I overheated it a couple of times and I fear I cracked or warped the head. It has the 2.3l carb v6. How much of a hassle would it be to replace the head and make it a decent running rig again.

Of coarse...350's fit really nice in the engine bay of a Jimmy with an Advance Adapters kit...

I was thinking the same thing
My almost former daily driver has the same engine and still runs sweet.
The truck is a *****box to me though and now that I have the Jeeps I'm gonna sell the whole truck for $400 so the motor doesn't go to waste.
I couldn't find a 2.8 Blazer or Astro and glad I didn't

I'd take the "Iron Duke" 4 cyl over the 2.8 V6 any day...
I just assumed the 4 cyl....but after actually thinking about it for a second, I don't think Blazers/Jimmys came with a 4cyl. So if you've got a 2.8L, you'd be better off in the long run to looking into a complete engine swap. Either a 3.1L or 4.3L (Or the V8 option...hmmmmm???)

they did get the 4 popper in a 2wd ones.. And if it's a 2.8 the only bolt in replacements will be the 3.1 and the 3.8, That is for use with the tranny you have..

If I was going to do a engine swap I would use the 3.4....all the 2.8 parts bolt right up
