2016 trailhawk rear differential. Rebuild or dealer?
Mine needs to be replaced at 60K. Dealer charge me $4000. I have extended Warrenty. They send a used one but wire connector smashed. They sent second one and it’s bad
now they won’t pay $600 for dealer to get differential ( and back order). The dealer has 2year warrenty
the insurance is offering a rebuilt re-manufactured diff but only few months Warrenty. If it fails after that I’m probably on the hook
should I take insurance rebuild for free at 6 months, or dealer new for $600 and 2 year Warrenty?????
the dealer told me 2016 was a bad manufacturing run of rear differentials and he seen them go bad early as 20K !!!! Way to go heap!!!!
I have to make decision tomorrow, reply appreciated. Ps dealer told me to take the insurance one. Cuz jeep is on back order with no ETA.
