Default 1993 cummins w250

So I have an opportunity to pick this cherry 93 cummins truck up for CHEAP. Only problem is it is 2wd. So I know I need front axle, np205 transfer case, front drive shaft suspension components.... My question is will I need a new transmission, I cant figure out if the tail housing on the 2wd auto is different from the 4x4. Any links for the swap would be appreciated.
thanks

you could just mount the t-case divorced from the 2wd trans, or get the whole works from a 4x4. your gonna have to ditch all the IFS stuff on the 2wd in favor of the soild axle.

either way, BUY IT! 1st gen dodge are BY FAR my favorite ones. i use a 93 CTD to tow my MJ with. does great. if its really nice body wise i would pick it up. they are becoming harder to find (at least around here)

here is the one i use.

Find a rolled, or slightly damaged 4x4. There are TONS of plow trucks out there. unless fabrication is your specialty. I thought and tried the same thing with a classic chevy. It was easier to build the 4x4 chassis then put the body on it. Assuming you have a nice body. Just my $0.02. Nice find great truck, upgrade to a P-pump if you can.

A 12 Valve Cummins is one of the simplest diesels to ever be produced. Hell, something breaks, go get the parts off a Caterpillar.

Either way, I love the truck. Use to have one, single cab. 547,000 miles.
You know what they say 24 is 12 2 Many
