1977 Dodge D150 has no brake lights?
My '77 Dodge pickup has a weird thing going on. It has turn signals and tailights, but it doesn't have brake lights or hazzard lights. I've been told that it's either the turn signal parts inside the steering column or the brake light switch. Since the hazzards don't work, I think the turn signal mechanism is probably it. The problem is, there are a lot of wires running down from it. If I can locate a new mechanism, how hard will it be to put this new part in? Does anybody have any suggestions? Or maybe it's not the turn signal switch?
Thanks!
Thanks!

My dad had an idea regarding the problem last night. I thought I'd run it by you guys to see what you think.
He's thinking it may just be as simple as the turn signal relay/flasher unit on the fuse panel. Does this sound possible? It would sure be a whole lot easier and cheaper than trying to find a whole turn signal mechanism.
