03 dodge 2500 4x4 cummins DEATH WOBBLE!
Its always had 37s on it since i got it... ive got 160 thousand miles and this summer ive already replaced both front hub assemblies ($300 each) because the bearing blew up... i stuck dual stabalizers on it to try and help alittle with some rough riding and now have the H1 2 piece steel wheels on it... but since balancing them has been not possible with a normal machine... the bouncing hasnt been that bad but recently got pretty bad... to the point where if i took the stabalizers off i think i would get DW with no problem... i went today and had them add sand in the tires to balance them out... didnt help... checke the front end... got a bad drivers tie rod on the drivers side... FOR SURE... the ball joints do have very very VERY little play in them upper and lower... maybe 1/16th of an inch. i can stick my head out the window and watch the tires when they wobble go side to side... not up and down... so wouldnt this mainly be caused by the tie rod joint and not the ball joints? the ball joints are all dry around them as if they are in good condition... unlike the tie rod which has grease everywhere... im wondering if i need to replace the upper and lower ball joints as well as the tie rod? my year model shares the same parts as a 09 so there high as crap... but i dont want to change the tie rod... get it aligned... then it not fix my wobbling everywhere... Thanks for any help... i know most vehicles share the same setups pretty much so i know there some people here that have done ball joints all there lives...
P.S. they want $800 to do the ball joints and tierod... i can do the tie rod myself and there $45... then take it to get aligned... dont have a ball joint press...

You can rent a press from alot of auto parts stores, and besides having a decent set of instruction if you dont know what you are doing, its not very hard to do balljoints.

fyi- a tire known tire issue is not called death wobble. Death wobble is when your front axle moves back and forth so bad that you cannot even control the rig. These trucks are known for the common "jeep" death wobble because of the same suspension design.

death wobble is when the front end goes crazy and you cannot control it hardly... i dont care what setup it is... if to wobbles up and down or left and right... thats why its not jeep death wobble... or dodge death wobble... its death wobble... meaning it wobbles so much you could die...
