Default ZJ loses all electrical power

Hello jeepsters, I just bought a 97 zj, and recently I have been having a problem, all electrical power dies, no dome light, no power to gauges, no beep when door is open, nothing. I first experienced this yesterday, I was listening to the radio, (vehicle was not running) and when I went to turn it over nothing, I figured maybe a fuse, but before I could even check any of them the power came back (it took a couple minutes) and could start the car. It happened again this morning when I got to work,.. I shut the engine off, went inside, came back out and jeep wouldn't start again had to wait couple mins. It doesnt do it when I'm driving only when I shut it off. Gonna clean battery cables tonight. Any other ideas would be great. Thanks

Cleaning the connections may take care of it, it's a good place to start.

I replaced the battery terminals, that seemed to be the problem, it hasn't lost power since
