JGCL1996

I recently bought a 96 Grand Cherokee and it had a screwed up 3" lift on it. The guy who put it on only put new coils springs and shocks but did nothing else so now the tie rod end digs into the inside of the drivers front wheel and the rear axle is off center. I am buying a new 3" lift and having it installed to get everything in order but here is my question(s). The guy relocated the tie rod and I have no idea what he did to it so I have to buy 16" wheels to get the clearance on the tie rod end. Would a 285/75R16 tire give me any issues with rubbing on the fenders or anything else? Any help would greatly be appreciated.
