Generally at right around 5" you start running into problems with the lines being too short. I'm at 5.5" right now and am still running stock lines. I've unbolted them from the subframe to get a bit more droop. I know they're too short, but haven't had any problems yet while wheeling with them. That being said, I've got a set of Chevy truck lines that are 4-5 inches longer that are just waiting to be installed.

All this info aside, if you are at 4" or more on long arms, you probably should invest in a set of longer lines pronto. You'll get a bit more flex/droop with LA's and run a much higher risk of popping them than I would.

I haven't had a problem yet, and I'm lifted higher than you. You might think about unbolting the hard lines from the subframe in the front for some extra peace of mind.

It's been rumored that the Chevy brakelines that I have will swap right on, and are even longer than the "extended" brakelines that all the lift companies sell. I can tell you that they're 26" long, while the "extended" lines are only 24".

If they bolt right up like it's been rumored, new lines would be right around $35...Give me some time to get them fitted on there.

Yes, but they're not nearly as long as the Chevy brakelines.

www.quadratec.com has a full set of steel braided lines in your choice colors for around a hundred bucks.

No, they're mid 90's Chevy 1/2 ton trucks. Mine are a 94 Chevy 1500 2x4 truck. A first glance they look to be bolt on, but I won't know until I actually put them on.

I'm new here, but stumbled upon this thread searching for extended brake hoses for my zj, I went to the local parts store and picked up two front hoses from a 92 chevy 1500 2wd and it was almost a direct bolt on part!! Thanks guys!
