Hi! i’ve currently owned my zj with the 5.2 and 46RH transmission for about 4 months and can’t get enough of it! Although within the past 2 months i’ve noticed some quirky transmission issues I daily drive my zj and have been noticing that a handful of times a day if i’m stopped while in drive the transmission will pop of gear per say as if i’m in neutral, when i go to accelerate it will then lurch back into gear quite roughly. I’ve checked and change my transmission fluid and it seems to be just fine, so i’m sadly thinking it’s more of serious problem than i thought. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

Fantastic write up! i really enjoyed the read, as much as i wish i could rebuild it myself i don’t have the time or knowledge of taking on something like that. I think i will just pull the tranny and take it to the shop this week.
