Default is a XJ with 250,000 a worthy buy?

So I found a ZJ 1994 sport at this lot about 45 minutes away and I am unsure if it is worth my time.

He is asking $2000 for it.

It has like 250,000 miles and I noticed some paint peeling(or is it rust) on the roof.

It would be my daily driver (school, work, day to day bs I have to do, etc etc).

Is it worth even buying? I was going to offer like $1200-1500. He had the car on the site since I was first looking way back in December before Christmas.

That's an xj. Not a zj. How does it run and drive? The 4.0 can go to 400k+ if you take care of it

Past maintenance is key especially the cooling system, transmission and differentials. Try to find out what was done and when. It could be a fine DD but be prepared to work on it and have to fix little things from time to time.

around 1000 would seem more reasonable to me. but its all up to the buyer and the market.

The pics are reversed. Notice that the badges say "peeJ" and "eekorehC."
