Winshield wipers not working

I went to use my wipers before and they got stuck on ice. So I turned them off got rid of the ice and now they wont turn on at all. The rear works fine. It's a 2000 WJ I-6 4x4

if you can hear the motor turning then wipers may be stripped or if it is a single motor like mine then u will have to take cowl off and reattach the rod to it. happened to me in middle of thunderstorm

She came over and I checked it out. The motor is toast. I guess wires arced inside of it, you can see a burn mark coming off the one end. She's going to buy a new one. I'm going to change it tomorrow.
