Window Motor Question
About 2 years ago my passenger window stopped working. I replaced the motor and all was well again. Now, I have another problem with the same window. The window goes up and down, but it doesn't seem to know when to stop going up. Also, when it is in motion, there's a sorta like staggering motion. Does this sound like the motor is bad again?

The jerky motion could be something as simple as the joints of the regulator assembly needing lubrication, loose bolts that hold the mechanism to the door could make it jerky, or maybe the regulator assembly is shot. A fairly new motor could go bad but it wouldn't be my first choice.
I'm not sure what you mean about it not knowing when to stop going up. If you mean it stops short and requires several switch pushes to get it to go up that could also be due to the jerky motion and added resistance which might tell the motor to stop thinking it reached the end of it's travel path.
Why not pop off the door panel and watch the innards do their thing while you roll it up and down to get a better idea of what going on?
