When to get an alignment

When to get an alignment
If I get an alignment after my lift, and wait to put on the rims and tires do I need another alignment after the bigger tire too? This could be a really stupid question, I'm just used to putting the lift together, having my rim/tire combo already mounted, and driving to get it aligned properly.
