Default wheel question

i own a 98 laredo, its lifted 4.5 inches...right now im riding on the stockers and she looks terribly awful lol. i was wondering if it would be ok if i used my 16 by 10 and 16x8 rims just for street only, would that harm my transmission in anyway?

The width will not effect the transmission, it's the diameter of the tire that effects it.

not sure if you would need backspacing to prevent rubbing on the inside...
