Default Whats the pros and cons?

I am looking into buying a jeep grand Cherokee but I keep running into full time 4-wheel and the ones that aren't. What are the pros and cons of the two? The year model I'm looking at is around the 2000-2001 body style! Can anybody please help!!!!!

full time= more stress on vehicle
part time when you have the option to choose is better

"the ones that aren't" meaning they have the transfer case that goes from 2hi-4hi-n-4lo or something of that sort!

Part time 4x4 is better due to the differential locks. Quadra trac and quadra drive only engage the front wheels when the rears slip and selec track gives you the option so I don't see how full time can be harder on the car than part time. Full time = no diff locks so if both wheels on the same side of the car have no traction your stuck, unless it has vari lock. My Xj has part time and grand has full time and the xjs a beast.
