front and rear recovery points tow straps skid plates come a-long or winch
cold air intake isnt the best idea for off roading (sucking up water would be real bad) snorkle or cowle intake works real good

lockers
rock sliders
a little more lift
sye
bigger tires
and it goes on

start with the stuff in bold and go from there

yes good recovery / bumpers followed by armor, followed by lockers seems to be the best way. You can lift at anytime, by the time you do all these mods, you'll find out exactly what lift you need and or want to accomodate the wheeling you are going to be doing.

You want it to better off-road, sell the at's and get m/t's...But personally on something that new i'd for sure look into armor first to protect it from getting to beat up...diff covers, sliders, transfer case skid and so on...and as stated above recovery points are a must for off roading and lockers are always great to have.
