wanting to lift an 05 grand cherokee laredo

Default wanting to lift an 05 grand cherokee laredo

Ive got an 05 grand cherokee laredo that was purchased just for hauling a dirt bike but I've sold the bike due to health issues and need a new hobby. i wanting to put it on 33's. probably a 33 11.50 or so. I'm wondering if you guys can help me figure out what all i need to make it happen. I'm not trying to spend a fortune because it will still be used mainly on the road and just to go up some mountain trails with the fiancee. no major rock crawling or crazy deep mud holes. i already plan to regear it and get new rims. I've had lifted trucks, but never a lifted jeep.

I think you're SOL trying to lift an 05 Grand Cherokee. I'm not aware of any lift kits available for the IFS Grands.

I know its possible to do it. There are a handful the same body style where i live. A 2" and 31s seem to be the most popular but ive seen a couple that set higher.

Now bear in mind these are not cheap to lift. They do offer a 3.5/3 spacer lift though for about $200

Check out Old Man Emu for a lift kit for it. If it were a year older like my 04 a WJ lots of options for it.

Even with a 3.5 spacer lift it would be necessary to change other components wouldnt it? I really think im feeling 2.5 with 31s at this point
