I spent a long time getting to the bottom of a nasty juddering vibration when turning hard left. Eventually my mechanic worked out it was the gearbox rubber mounting that was worn causing the gearbox to rattle on the chassis and on the body. The picture below is what he fitted and it solved the turning left noise which is great. However since getting it back the car now sounds really rough in reverse and when engine braking in low speeds - especially second. I would say the noise is intermittment but mainly there. Does anyone have any ideas as to what could be causing this - I suspect that the new mounting has shifted things and moved a vibration elsewhere but don't really know what to do next
