previous owner broke the plastic piece (the front one) so i tried to pull a replacement from the junk yard but it would not come out without breaking. anyone know how to remove it?

 

You can buy new vent and CCV elbows for less than five bucks at O'Reily's. You can also get the grommets too. It's almost impossible to get the elbows out without destroying the grommets, I removed the value cover when I did mine so none of the broken pieces would fall into the engine.
