I have a 1995 Jeep, Grand Cherokee, limited. Drove it off the lot new in 1995. Two questions:
(1) I recently replaced the IR fob with an after market but the range still sucks. Is there any clever way to extend this or easily adapt to RF? It's pretty useless. I normally have to press the fob against the window up toward the dome to get it to function.
(2) A drunk driver hit me in the parking lot of 7-11, then sped away when I approached him. Insurance did not cover. The pieces which run along the bottom of the doors on the passenger side need to be replaced. Is there a good place to order these pre-painted? What are these pieces even called? I ordered a pre-painted bumper cover on-line once and it matched perfectly.
Here is the damage, damn drunk! Pieces framed in yellow I would like to replace.

 

That in the yellow is called a rocker panel. I've never seen them come painted because those panels are welded on. Best bet is I've seen they make caps that fit right over the old ones.
