Default Transmission issue. (code p1768) anyone?

2000 jeep grand cherokee v8. IT is something about the relay always off or something. Changed out the relay and had the codes cleared. well the check engine light comes on and stored the code p1768 again. When the light comes on trans goes into limp mode. The light will come and go and my mechanic says to take it to dodge and have the thing reflashed. What do you guys say and have any of you had this happen. thanks in advance

I've had to take my '04 in to be re-flashed a few times since we bought it new. The CEL never came on though. Just shifting issues that were always cleared up by the re-flashing.
Welcome to CF!

My check engine light came on 2 days ago. I brought it to AutoZone yesterday and 4 codes showed up including the P1768. The guy there said it was a manufacture code and they can't tell me what it is. Bad thing is just bought it a week ago.

Welcome to CF. Did you get a warranty with it?
