Ok...so I am not one to mess with trannies (people or vehicle type) but I have a trannie issue. Have had it tested and we are getting P0740 error codes, TCC as I understand it and another code pertaining to the line pressure fault. One shop wants to replace the solenoid but that might not fix it and the trannie may still need a rebuild.
Talked to another guy who says he has a diag tool that can test pressure, monitor what the computer is sending etc etc and tell me exactly what my options are.
So option two is obviously the best but is it truly possible?
I have a 2001 GC, 106K miles with the 4.7 liter V8.
Other options would be appreciated but with my limited knowledge not sure I have any.
Thanks in advance.

I always take my WJ to the dealer.
It may be the converter clutch or the solenoid. A reputable repair shop shouldn't charge you for the test if they do the repair.
