Trans. whining in reverse.

Trans. whining in reverse.
My 1999 Grand Cherokee makes a whining noise in the morning when I put it in reverse. After it warms up, the noise stops. I changed the fluid, and filter. I tried to find the plate on the x-mission, but according to my Haynes it says I have a 42re, or 42rh.
I went through the other threads on this, but I didn't really find anything conclusive. Any help will be appreciated.
