trans speed sensor???

trans speed sensor???
allright two thing are going on here my transmission is slipping and check engine light says check trans speed sensor ... i just bought the 93 zj grand cherokee awd. are these two related to each other or are they two different problems? second their is no wire going to the transmission speed sensor on the tranny. where does it come from so i can re wire it or maybe find the wire that is supposed to be their. thanks for the help if you need more info just ask please. gotta fix it before i mess something up. thanks

i love how nobody ever wants to help on these problems....im having the same issue i just dont know where the speed sensors located on my 2000 cherokee or id fix it myself

The speed sensor can make a trans act funny. Sometimes the trans can shift hard , slip or not shift out of first gear. Its not a gaurantee that the trans is fine, but i would start by replacing the speed sensor and see what happens.
