trans. shift problem
Greetings. I am a first time member to this forum, looking for suggestions on how to diagnose my problem. I have a 1995 Grand Cherokee Laredo, I6 engine 4.0L, 4 wheel drive, automatic. My problem for some time now is when starting from a stop and going thru it's shifts, between first and second gear the tranny wants to engage, then disengage, then engage, then disengage until finally it will shift into second. Does not do it in any other gear. It does it if I start out slow or accelerate hard from a stop. Any suggestions?

This 95 has 108M miles on it. the fluid and filter has been changed regular intervals since I bought it new. This problem has been going on since approx. 60M miles. Hasn't gotten worse though. Fluid level is full according to the dipstick and doesn't smell burn't.
