hi i dont know if you can but can i adjust the timing on a 97zj 4.0 i changed the plugs wires cap and rotor and my mechanoc friend said it sounded and felt like t was off when he felt it sort of vibrated at a stop light

I would check the firing order first.

check the gap on the plugs
do believe its .035

i did it before the tune up and i did the tune up to try and solve the problem and i gaped the plugs to .035...can the timing be off a little

I would check the timing chain last resort, first try cleaning your IAC, that should fix your rough idle, it is easier to take off your TB while off clean underneath the butterfly valve also.
