Default They've put me Gasoil instead of Gasoline.

Hello Jeep.

It was very late at night and i was runing out of gasoline, so I stopped in a Gas Station. I ordered 6 Gallons of Gasoline.
The man put me Gasoil for diesel engine instead of gasoline..
I didnt note this and I drove around 6 miles to a friend house.
When i was arriving I've noted my 1995 Grand Cherokee wasnt runing well, it was 4000rpm max.
I never thought the idiot of the station put me gasoil instead of gasoline.
When I left my friend house, it was hard to start the vehicle, but it started and I accelerate it at 4000rpm in Parking for about half of a minute before driving home.

Then I drove 2 miles to get home.

NExt day I started the vehicle, Gasoil smell and lot of smoke, I couldnt pass 1000rpm this time while accelerating.

The Fuel Pump is brand-new.

I took out the Gasoil from the tank. What should i do now?

Run fuel injector cleaner and spray down your throttle body and inner intake manifold with carb cleaner. And try running a fresh tank of gas.

Thank You CherokeeEnthusiast, I will do that.

Do you think 'I broke' something else?

I would do a full tank just in case you end up having to replace something, but would do about a quarter tank of mid grade gas, with some injector cleaner, obviously not the whole bottle as you aren't using a full tank, run that for a bit and let it idle if you can instead of getting on it... every now and again maybe tap the gas a little bit to get the pressure/flow up a little bit here and there... if you can you might even want to see if you can replace you filter and maybe get the fuel that is left in the lines before you run the tank of actual gas... and then I would go back to the gas station and beat that f**kers a$$ for causing you these issues...

thats a good idea bluedragon, injector cleaner, replacing filter.

And of course I will go back to that station and I will ask them a free full tank of gasoline or i will do a scandal in the minishop.

Itll be fine.

Thank You Defiance665 - I hope this gets fixed easily and nothing went wrong like you say. I took almost 3 months to import a Fuel pump from US
And if it gets broken again, i wouldnt know how to deal with this again.

I will post soon wiht results.

It happens more often than most people think. Most the time no damage is done, diesel is just an oil and will not harm anything.
You may want to change the spark plugs and fuel filter, but its not necessary.

What is alot more damaging is putting gas in a diesel. If it has glow plugs it can blow up inside the cylinder and cause a ton of damage.

There is no point to running fuel injector cleaner through it. Fuel injector cleaner and diesel are the same exact thing, diesel is a good solvent so its used for cleaning fuel sytems. Dont waste your time replacing anything, just run the tank dry and it will be fine.

I've screwed around putting diesel in lawnmowers before to see what happens, it will even continue to run until the mixture is about 70 percent diesel, it will smoke like crazy but still run. And not one of them has been harmed by this.

I removed thh Gasoil from the tank
replaced the 6 sparkplugs
replaced the Filter

The Vehicle runs perfectly.

However, today I started the Vehicle, I did 2 miles through the city, slow speed.
The Temperature indicates this, It used to work much more cooler before.
Is this normal for only 2 miles, slow, City Weather: 64ºF ??

This is my 1995 Grand Cherokee today:

Do the temps sit high only when idling, dropping shortly after you take off? ~115 C is pretty high, was it normally around the 100 mark before this happened?

The Temperature Gauge doesnt drop fast when I turn off the vehicle.
The usual temperature before this issue, was between 40 and 90

I did put water, started the Heater, and nothing. The TEmperature increase fast.

I've reviced the engine zone and I found an escape from the main "rubber black tube".

It might have air inside. I need to purge

Things above are fixed but the vehicle still over heats.

Seems like the Water-Pump is not working.
