I Have a 04 JGC with the select a track. Does it have mecanical or vacuum activated t-case. I am wondering if its not engaging correctly. I will be taking it to a another jeep dealer cause i sense the other dealer trying to advoid a warranty issues. under load it will pop and make noises. Any one else having these problems?

 

If it is like a 98 select trac(it should be the same) it is mechanical. It could be the linkage is out of adjustment if it is not engaging correctly.

 

what range are you in and how much load is it under?

 

All 4wd options. Last night my mecanic buddy of mine took for a test spin. He is 90% shure its a cv shaft.

 

well then it should be clunking in 2wd as well

 

I set up an appointment with another Jeep dealer for tomarrow still under warranty.
