Starting issue
I am borrowing my brothers 98 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo and this mornin when I went to start it up all it did was click. We checked the starter, fuelpump, battery and alternator and they are all good. Then later this afternoon after we couldn't figure out the problem my wife gets in it and puts the tilt steering down and Then back up and it starts automatically. So I go get gas and turn off jeep n then go get back in and it does the same thing. Click. So I adjust the tilt steering down n up and sure enough it starts every time after I do it.
is there possibly a losenor pinched wire in the steering column or is it something a lol more severe? Would like to here some advice on this before I get more into it.
Thanks before hand.

A bad NSS (neutral safety switch) can give these symptoms too. Had one go in my XJ. It would randomly start and then not start. If it does it again, try to start it in neutral and/or run the gear select all the way up and down the a few times.
The steering wheel thing with your wife could have been a coincidence but then again maybe not. Not the greatest summary, I know.
