Default Speedometer acting silly

Hello all,

I have the 93 zj with the 318ci, anyways, speedometer has been acting up, it seems to stutter, and I happens randomly, I'll be driving and then it'll pause even when I'm still accelerating and then it'll jump to the correct speed, same when I brake, it'll pause and then jump to correct speed, do you guys think it's the speed sensor or could it be something else???

The electrical plug for the sensor can loosen and vibrate. It's not a very strong connection. It only takes a minute to pull the sensor out and inspect the gear. If the plug has any ATF on it you should change the sensor.
