Default Should I get a Grand Cherokee ZJ?

My 1st post but I found this photo of a modded grand cherokee:
http://www.4x4offroads.com/image-fil...d-cherokee.jpg
and fell in love with it and now want one so bad haha! Can anyone tell me how much you think its lifted, the wheel and tire specs and where i can get fenders that big. I must have finished the internet by now and haven't found a place I can buy them!
I've owned a couple of VW Golfs but want something different now and a lifted Cherokee is so rare here in Ireland.

Doesn't really look like it has lift. If it has any it's not much. Looks like a lot of fender has been cut out. If he was to flex it he might have some interference.
Hard to tell about the tire size but I would say 35's or 36's.

I agree on the tire size but not the no lift part. There is no way you could fit that size tire under a stock cherokee, grand or not. Im going to say it at least has 5-6 inches of lift, the big fenders and foot step just make it seem like its not as tall as what it really is. the front bumper has got quite a bit of ground clearance though. Not sure where to find that exact lift because i dont know what it is but google these, Rustys offroad, Rough Country, Rancho, FatBobsGarage, and so on. I know most of these places have lift kits for grand cherokees

Oh but since your title says "should I get a Grand Cherokee ZJ" Its your preference but you'll find that there are far more aftermarket parts for the XJ (Cherokee) and i personally think that the XJ looks far mor like an offroad vehicle where as the ZJ looks more like a luxury vehicle. So No get an XJ!

If those tires are 36" then they alone would raise the height at least 3.5". I think this is why the bumper shows that much ground clearance.
I would recommend that you go w/ and xj though. I was going to purchase a 92 xj for $1500 then I found my 93 zj for $700 but I still would rather have the xj. Either way parts are readily available for both.

i'll bet that has 8 inches of lift. and those are probably 37 or 38 inch tires on what looks like 16x12 rims with lots of fender cut and cut out flares.

I remember when they first came out. That was one of their rigs they built. It has about 3-4 inches of lift only. They can fit them because they chopped the fenders open and also, the rigs are used in the snow.

I clear 34s on my ZJ with only 3.75" of lift.

This actually looks pritty good. one of the first ones that i have liked. But serously you cant tell me that when your front suspension compresses and you turn your tire, that you dont scrub like a mother. Its olmost on it on level ground with the wheels straight. Either way, looks damn good!

I took it wheelin a couple times like this and it didn't rub bad. It was more mud than anything that got the suspension flexing though. I could bumpstop the hell out of it and it wouldn't rub but there would be no uptravel! While driving on the street there is no rubbing while turning. Solved that by pounding the pinch seam in and cutting the front bumper to clear them. If I were to continue to run these tires I would cut the fender for more clearance and add more bumpstops. Also I would bend my exhaust a little more. The tips rub when at hwy speeds! Thanks for the compliments. This is more of a street Jeep than offroad. Wanted to see if I could fit my 34s and I can!
