1995 grand Cherokee with part time tcase auto tranny won't shift into third when after driving for awhile goes into every other gear just fine and shifts manually fine from first to second but put in drive nothing happens just revs up please help! I wanna go wheelin

 

literally just had pretty much the same issue... And my tranny was shot, so I'm putting a new one in now

 

That's what I figured just want to be sure it was some cheap easy fix before I spend the money for a tranny

 

you could give the governor solenoid a try.. I'll send you the solenoid and sensor for $20 shipped.. I bought them for mine but further testing showed my tranny is shot

 

I figured out the trans as long as it is in second it shifts just fine into third but in drive doesn't work. Plus I just threw about two rods through my oil pan and one through the block so I'm just going to replace the motor and then go from there
