Welp, I just changed the motor in my jeep from a 318 to a 360. Now every so often when I start it, it'll run for a few seconds then shut off. What do?!?

 

Did tippy change the ecm our get yours flashed for the 360? When you first start the motor, it runs on the preprogrammed "map" until the O2 sensor warms up. My wrangler had a problem like that until I reflashed it. It would run excessively lean and stall sometimes right after it came off the start up enrichment. just a thought. If you tap the throttle after start will it stay running?

 

I posted this before all this happened yesterday. I pulled out of my driveway and got about 70 yards down the road and it died. No warning no sputtering it just died. Few minutes later it fired back up, drove another 50-60 yards and it died again. Few minutes later I got it started and was able to get it back into my driveway and I haven't drove it since.

 

Check the coil and fuel. Need to determine what system is shutting it down to know what road to go down.
