Rough idle, missing at low RPM - Found an unplugged connector -Pic inside
Hey guys, been trying to chase down the cause of my rough idle and missing under load at low rpms.
1993 ZJ 4.0 4x4 Auto
So far:
Cleaned throttle body
Replaced iac
Replaced tps
Replaced dist, wires and plugs
Checked for vacuum leaks
Unhooked battery for 12hr and charged with a trickle charger
Well, I found this connector unhooked while crawling around on the ground
Anyone know where it`s supposed to go?
And I dont want to hear anything about the fram filter lol. I`m refusing to change the oil until this thing runs right. Just picked her up a couple of weeks ago and havent had the chance to drive her for more than a couple of blocks around my neighborhood .
The engine smooths out around 2000rpms or so but misses badly on take off and vibrates the steering wheel at idle.

Do a compression test, and there is a low cylinder or two, do a cylinder leak down test. A valve that is not sealing correctly will cause a rough idle and clear up at around 2000 rpm. I'm pretty sure that plug is not the cause of your problem.
