Replaced Fuel Regular Now Wont Start

Replaced Fuel Regulator Now Wont Start
Hi
I have a 1994 Grand Cherokee Laredo. It had been sitting in the garage for a couple of years, but am trying to get it road worthy now. Replaced the battery and it started up right away. Checked under hood and gas was squirting from the fuel regulator. I replaced the regulator and now it wont run. The engine cranks fine and turns over, but shuts down immediatley as if it wasnt getting any fuel. Any ideas? Thx .
