Removing Distributor Rotor

Removing Distributor Rotor
So I have the Distributor Cap off, Spark Plugs, and Wires changed.
But for the life of me I can't get the rotor off...
it's just suppose to pull off right?
Edit: 5.2L V8 by the way.
