Question Rearview Mirror

My rearview mirror has broken off at a swivel point. Any suggestions as to what type of glue to use to fix it? It is a mirror with the dimmers so it has to be plugged in.

Most parts houses will have the kit to glue the button back on. The kit is about five bucks and comes with the vile of primer and glue. Follow the directions and wait 24hrs before hanging the mirror back on the button, you should also scrap the old glue off of the button with a razor blade before spreading the new glue on.

The problem is that it didnt break off at the windshield but at a swivel point. My rearview has a swivel point at the windshield and then at the mirror itself. There is no glue to scrape off. I was wondering if something like liquid nails would work.

I would just go to the boneyard and pull one off of another ZJ, just make sure you get one with the proper plug, there is a three wire and a 5 wire.

I would try the local jy for a new/used one. If you can't find one you can use super glue it will dry fast so you can hold it where you need it. after it dries put some gorilla glue on it this will keep the super glue from breaking.good luck
