Hi all,
My rear wiper arm doesn't make solid enough contact with the rear window. When you turn it on, the arm raises from the glass, thus not doing diddely squat.

I checked the arm. There is a spring intact, but the arm sort of flops when you pull it from the glass. Could it be the pivot point? Weak spring??

Any suggestions are welcome. It sort of annoys me that a useful feature is so useless right now.

Replace the whole arm. I have the same problem on my 92 and will be going to the wrecking yard tomorrow to get the replacement. Our problem is the spring went lame.

 

Fixed it! For those interested, I used a Surewipe spring available at most automotive shops. Use the guide to select the correct spring. There are Sure Wipe springs available for front and rear wipers. You just hook it around the arm, and it provides additional force to the wiper arm to keep contact with the rear wiper. It was easy to install, and very effective!

The only problem is realting to the directions in the kit. I highly recommend going to Surewipe.com and watching the little video.
