so i had posted the other day and got the info i needed but now i have a few more questions... to fill you in... 1997 GC Limited. hit curb and crushed the Trailing arm(control arm) mount that attaches to the axel tube. i have a used axel from a 86 cherokee( i was told that cherokee mounts are the same as the GC mounts) and the weldingshop is already aware of all of thisand willbe doing the work.... a few more wuestions that i had are as follows....


-when the mount got crushed it crumpled to the side and it pushed the axel over about an inch to the pass side. and now the front axel on the drivers side is poping some. its as if it is trying to pull the axel(cv?) out of place. so when i get the new mount put on. will the axel st8en back to where it sould be? i do not see any further damage to anything under or around the area. i think that the poping has to do witht he fact the mount crumplped to the side and is pulling it out of socket ont he drivers side.


- has anyone had this happen to them before. this is the first time for me but the second time i have heard of this happen.. is it a commen problem with this jeeps?

- if it has happened to you or someone you know. was it worth fixing? i got a good deal ont he jeep and the axle.

- what other damage could i not see that could of happened to the jeep?

- WILL THE AXLE GO BACK TO PLACE ONCE I GE THE MOUNT AND NEW BUSHING AND ARM ON IT> or is it forever UN fixable. i need to know within the next day... becasue tht is when it will be fixed.

PLEASE ANYONE with any knowlage of this please help me.

IF THE MOUNT BREAKS> WHEN IM TRANSPORTING TO SHOP>>> OR WHAT NOT>> WILL THE WHOLE AXLE FALL OFF? i mean it willdisconect the arm.... will it casue the axel to fall off?
