A 3" hole saw works perfect to cut the hole.

I just found you guys an hour after I fixed the fan relay on my WJ. I was not about leaving a hole under the headlamp so I sealed a sheet of plastic across it. I found the instructions on another site and they worked fine but because the relay apparently fails regularly, I added some silicone thermal transfer compound from PCWorld (used on CPU to heatsink/socket).
It is obvious, looking at the old part, that the metal chassis will flex and break the bond without some compound so the relay will always overheat once air has separated the seating. Has anyone met the designer of this component?
