Radiator Exploded
This is my 3rd Jeep... '96 Grand Cherokee and 2004 Wrangler and now 2001 Grand Cherokee.
2001 Grand Cherokee 4.7 V8 and not quite sure how to replace the radiator. Looks like I have to disconnect the AC lines is this true?
Can any one advise PLEASE!!!

don't think so, there should be a separate a/c rad in front of your rad that the a/c lines go to.
you probably have tranny lines going into your rad that you have to remove first tho.

I've read that I have to disconnect the AC coolant lines running to the condensor. Is this true? Or overboard?
I've also read that I have to remove the entire front end is this true?

I think you can pry the condensor separate from the rad, or so I've been told.
Here's a super detailed write up anyways:

Unfortunately I'll probly be heading down this road sometime too.
I have been told that you can do it without ripping the front clip apart and taking the e-fan and shroud out in one bit and then the radiator.

yeah, you do have to remove most of the front end. like grill and header insert along with rad cradle...
it's a bit of a pita, especially getting that lower rad hose off.
good luck.
