QUANTUM PLATINUM 5W40 FULLY SYNTHETIC ENGINE OIL in jeep grand cherokee
would QUANTUM PLATINUM 5W40 FULLY SYNTHETIC ENGINE OIL be suitable for my 2004 jeep grand cherokee 2.7 crd

Hi Melvyn and Welcome to the Forum.
In my opinion, synthetic oil is fine for your diesel engine. As for that particular brand of oil, I'm thinking it is probably a rip off and overpriced with a goofy name like Quantum Platinum. Neither of those words have anything to do with oil and lubrication.
Stick with a known brand like Shell, Mobil or Chevron. They all make good diesel rated synthetics.
