Power seat failure
I'm having a bit of an issue with the power driver seat.
The first button [from right] works fine. The second fine, but makes a grinding noise once it reaches the end both ways. (it should stop attempting to move once it reaches as far as it can go...or at least it used to)...
The third button doesn't work at all... it just makes the same grinding noise with no movement whatsoever. I checked to see if anything may be stuck underneath the seat, but no luck. I thought maybe the motor was going out, but wouldn't everything fail at once?
Picture for reference below -- oh and please excuse my need to vacuum

seats
there is three differant motors for all the switch possitions the grinding is most likely the internal gears in the motors. Its a shame mine went out in both seats and i can not find just replacement motors but i am taking my time on replacing the whole seats waiting for heated full leather ones in gray in my area with a good price like i said its a shame they are easy to remove so i would have assumed they could be replaced. hope this enlightened you a little???

Thanks... odd how one is completely gone while the other two are almost there... but OF COURSE they'd all decide to go out at once huh? Haha.

i'd check with some junk yards and see what they want for a full seat and swap the parts over. I think you can get a seat for like $50. the dealer ship is gonna want a dollar or two more than that to replace the motors

A new seat would probably be the best option... mine's kind of ripped in one part (was like that when I bought it but it got worse over time).

Yeah, I'd go the new seat route also. WJ's are plentiful, and that color leather seat is fairly easy to find. JMO
