Upcountry package, plus 2" BB and 31s...
That looks good. Looks exactly like my 95 that I want to lift. Did you have to do anything with the front end. I've had a few people around here tell me if you lift them, you start having trouble with the front end parts.Originally Posted by zjrog

My 96 is set up similar. Up Country Springs with a 2.5" BB. Only front end part I had probelms with was the TRE and trac bar. Both needed replacing before lifting it so I don't consider that a problem from lifting it.Originally Posted by lineape

can anyone give input on whether or not a slip yoke eliminator is of any benefit with a 4.5 lift and 33's? I'm hearing differing opinions. Anyone have a SYE?
Also, I don't understand how some folks here can get away without trimming much but ours is rubbin' like all get out? Is there anything I need to be sure NOT to trim? It's rubbing the bracket area the side of the stock bumper mounted to.

4" Rough Country with 32x11.5 Pro Comp All-Terrains.
33"s don't cram very well in the stock wheel wells, haven't really wanted to trim them yet

An SYE is a great investment. I don't have one, and really wish I did. You get a lot more slip, and a double carden joint. You don't wear out joints as fast because there's less stress on them. Not to mention there's little chance your shaft will ever come apart, and less chance of breakage.
As for the rubbing, I don't get it ether. I had 33's on mine and they rubbed like crazy. Maybe they don't wheel there Jeeps as hard as I do, I don't know. hahahahahaha! Im just screwing with you guys.
If you can cut it, you can cut it off! Just don't get into the "frame" and you'll be fine. Like I said earlier, I cut EVERY THING out of the front wheel well. My bumper is up so high I don't have turn signals!

No, I had already replaced the tie rod ends and steering stabilizer before I did the swap. When I did the BB, I had a set of front lower fixed control arms and a set of adjustable uppers that I put in at the same with all new bushings. I got the fixed arms from one friend for free, and the uppers from another for free as well. Added some longer shocks and made my own swaybar disconnects. During the swap, I also replaced my U joints in the axles, one was really bad.
Next projects for the ZJ is a set of LJ sliders I need to modify a bit. And modify the transfer case skidplate.
