Please Help: How do I disable the Factory Alarm?
Hello Everyone,
I have a 2005 Grand Cherokee. When I bought my Jeep, it came with the keyless remote, but it was broken. So when I have to lock my Jeep, I press the lock button on the door, close the door (I roughly have a 16 second time frame before the alarm is set), manually unlock the door and then manually lock the door from the inside. When I looked up on how to disable the alarm, many people said if you don't know what you're doing you could mess up the whole system. So if anyone is familiar with the factory alarms, I would greatly appreciate if you could assist me on telling me how to disable it. It's not a pressing matter and I know I could have a mechanic do it or buy a new keyless remote, but I'd rather not. Thank you for your time.
