P0470 Engine Code - 97 GC
I have a 97 Grand Cherokee 4.0 I-6. During the last few weeks it has had trouble shifting gears, which I attributed to the cold weather. Last night after work I tried to back out of a parking space only to find the Jeep wouldn't move when in reverse. I checked the ATF and added just a bit but it still wouldn't drive in reverse. It will move in all forward gears but still shutters and slips.
Had Advance read the error codes and I got the dreaded P0470. There are a lot of forums for this but none that I've seen have mentioned the problem affecting the reverse gear.
Please help!
