I need new O2 sensors, and I'm just wondering if the ones from AutoZone are OK or if I should look elsewhere. I feel like I remember reading here before that someone said the Bosch are no good. They also sell Denco brand...I think.
Any recomendations?

Well, you don't bother to list the details on your Grand Cherokee, so that makes it awfully hard to help you out.


ZJ's are pretty notorious for really only liking Mopar sensors or NTK/NGK, especially later model ZJ's. Some people get lucky with Bosch or other brands of O2 sensors, but there's really no telling. I found my NGK O2 sensors for much cheaper online than I found even offbrand sensors at the parts stores....

The same advice above applies. Make it doubly sure that the sensor you buy is a Mopar or an NTK/NGK, you stand more of a chance of success running a Bosch sensor with a 93-95 ZJ, but the 96-98 ZJ's are much less likely of that ending well.

Hold on did you brake them or are they just dirty? I would bet that they have been in there a wile and have got gunked up with carbon. If that is the case you let your Jeep get up to temp. Then take them out and let them cool. When they are cool you take a can of brake clean and clean the crap out of them. Meaning one can for 2 sensors. Spray shake repeat. It has never failed me.

 

Are you just buying the "Replacement" sensors? Other than those they only Bosch, Denso, and Walker's O2 sensors. The cheapest Bosch sensor is $10 more than on Rockauto.com.


OP - Rockauto has some of the best prices I've seen online, and are much cheaper than the local parts stores. It all depends where you like to order from.
